The Canadian Shared Security Operations Centre (CanSSOC) was created on the principle that no single institution can tackle cybersecurity challenges alone.
Founded by six institutions – University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, University of Toronto, McMaster University, Ryerson University, and McGill University – CanSSOC serves universities, colleges, polytechnics and CÉGEPs across Canada. Tools and expertise are drawn from the participating institutions, as well as the 14 partners in the National Research and Education Network (NREN).

CanSSOC Services
Following a guiding principle of: “Better than we can do on our own, always in partnership”, CanSSOC services lay the groundwork for common cybersecurity tools, knowledge, and awareness across institutions, regardless of their maturity or capability in detection and response. Developed in collaboration with National Research & Education Network (NREN) partners and other trusted community partners, CanSSOC services deliver curated alerts, advisories, and actionable intelligence.
